USATF LONG ISLAND PRESEASON CONDITIONING CLINICS
We are hosting a 5 week Preseason Conditioning and Technical Event Instruction Program beginning
Sunday October 11th at the new track and field facility at Island Trees
High School. This 5 week program is designed to prepare athletes for
the winter season ahead and to instruct them in the proper technique and
skills needed to be successful in their events.
Clinics are held on Sundays at 4:00pm at Island Trees High School, Straight Ln, Levittown
Registration begins at 3:00pm
Clinic Dates:
October 11 • October 18 • October 25 • November 1 • November 8
(Make up date is November 15.)
Space is limited.
Our staff is made up of
certified coaches who competed at the highest levels of our sport.
- John McCree, St Johns University
- Nicole Dumpson, Central Connecticut
- Keith Hinnant, University of South Carolina
- Cara Ronstant, Manhattan College
Additionally in weeks 4 and 5 former National team members will instruct both horizontal jumps and the high jump.
** The weight throw will be taught but space is limited so register immediately. **
This
is an opportunity for the most serious athletes to gain the knowledge
and get the instruction needed to become champion caliber track and
field athletes. Tools which they can bring back to their coaches and
their teammates.
All coaches are welcome to come and learn.
This
is a perfect opportunity for hurdlers, jumpers, sprinters, and
especially throwers to get a jump start before the winter gets here.
